Hmm, it worked in mine...
What I've done:
1. copied the xml you listed here and used it as a 2DS.
2. followed the hierarchical tutorial, my main datasource looks like this:
-myFields
--Group1
---RepeatingGroup1
----Field1
----Field2
----Field3
3. doubleclicked each combobox and using ''Look Up Values In A Data Connection...'' I've bound the ...

Actually what I am trying to do is that if we have any text field in the infoPath form and some user will enter some data in that text field then can we able to see that entered data in a notepad file and then able to edit it as well?

Hi Raj,
You can get this to work with the hyperlink method mentioned in the article, but it will only open the document in IE browser not in Notepad itself.
Where is the document located that you want users to open? Is it on a network? Do you want the users to open the actual notepad file on the network and save changes or do you want them to ...

this has been resolved, i just needed to use absolute reference in the xpath

it is a DB Connection, but I filter data in numerous places (to set fields values for instance) and have no issues whatsoever. I ended up changing the database structure so that the validation is based on one field only - I needed to finish lol.
I absolutely love this application and have developed many useful forms ... but I would be soooo much ...
