For the first question -- you can set a Default Value Formula on your main DOM field which just copies the value of your 2DS (secondary data source) field.

One link to look at:http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dno2k3ta/html/Office2003OverviewDeveloperToolsPrograms.asp

You can place an OnAfterChange event handler on the signature node to have your code notified when a change (add / delete / etc) occurs. You'll have to keep track, in code, of the current signature count so that you can compare it against the change in order to know whether an add or delete occurred.
Good luck.

You are likely receiving this because you've established what's called an "Endless Loop". . . i.e. One field updates another one, and that one in ...

Glad to help.
Looks like you've already solved your other issue. Responded with some additional info.

InfoPath autogenerates the schemas for your data connections. You can modify these, but if you ever update your data connections the schemas are regenerated.
Having said that--it sounds like you want something different than that--that you want to have dynamic validation.
The answer to can this be done is: Yes.
How? You'll have to write code to ...

I don't believe there is a way to do this from within InfoPath. I'm not an Outlook expert, and this might not even be an option for you, but I'm wondering if there's a way to turn on Read Receipt for all outgoing email... if that were the case, then you could certainly generate one that way.

The schema is expecting certain nodes to appear in a particular order.
Because you added BillingInfo, it is expected to occur before CommentHistory.
The schema nodes are likely not optional since this is coming from a database.
Therefore, the problem is NOT in your connection, but rather in your existing forms. The forms are missing the new ...
