Yes, its not a secondary source, its the main source. I click on the data source field, go to properties and see the data type greyed out. I dont understand why this would be dissabled?

Hello,
You should have to build the form using the dataconnection and also the database should be the main connection if you want to submit the data to it.
There are numerous Howto's and Tricks on this site which will be helpful in getting ideas to do it. Try searching the forums database also.

Is it possible to have multiple parent tables in a single InfoPath form? If I add a second table, it always ends up as a child.
