Hi -
I'm guessing you'll need to use "current()" in your XPath. If PmtRec is your repeating group, and your expression boxes are in a repeating section bound to that group:
xdXDocument:GetDOM("Flat File Specs")/FlatFileSpecs/CCR/Header/RecordID/Description[current()/@PmtMethod = "CCR"] | ...

That's wonderful - can you post what it is for others?

Oh my. I made a mess of that expression. I think I over-thought it. Try this one.

Did you know you can use Preview to find out if your old data will open in your new form? Check it before you publish.
Here's a blog post on that.

Aw, thanks!
Yup, multiple dropdowns, each using the specific data source, and only show one based on what the user selects. It is clunky, and can be a little hard to work with in design mode, but it is the most straightforward approach.
Here's some stuff I would do to make it a bit better -
Query only the data source I need when the ...

I can't think of a way through the UI, except the approach you've taken w/ multiple dropdowns that use different data sources. If you data source is SQL, maybe you could create a view with all the options and a way to filter based on the other field.... but if they are assorted SharePoint lists, for example, the conditional formatting ...

Sounds like I need to adjust the XPath I'm using for the count expression - I'll get that fixed later today and post a new version.

Is it the main data source that will have all the records?
I'm guessing a bit here, since I can't run your query. But if my guesses are wrong in the attached sample, I'll put together a sample form that I do have a DB for, and see where I went wrong, okay?
At any rate, give this a try, right click the link and save the xsn ...

So, you'd have one data connection that your category drop down uses - and another data connection is used by the drop down with the service descriptions.
You'd set the Category field in the query fields for the new data connection to the value of Category in your main data source (this is going to be in rules on the Category field in ...

You sure can. You'll need to manually modify your mapping file (or use a rule to set the value). The node you want to change is the RepeatingGroup node. It would be something like /my:myFields/my:group1/my:group2 and you would change it to /my:myFields/my:group1/my:group2 [my:field1 != 0].
However, this is something that was just added for ...
