  • Re: Inserting into Repeating Table (Main Connection)

You code is unable to clone the row because it can't find one. Even though your template.xml has an ETF row in, it might not have it there when the code runs due to querying the database and returning no results. This seems like the problem. I can't see any problems with the code, but if the selectSingleNode() is returning null then there is no ...

  • Re: auto fill other fields

Hi Carlos. You will probably need to use the XSL current() function for this problem. I would have to know more about your schema and what exactly you are trying to accomplish. Could you paste the XPath you are using currently and a sketch of the relevant schema?

  • Re: Cut reopeating section cannot paste back in

I think an easier to way to do this is to have one repeating group in the DOM and do filtering with the two sections. Say your data source looks like this: Events -Event (repeating) --Name --Date --Cancelled (boolean) Then you could setup two repeating sections. The first would use a data filter to show only Cancelled = false events, and the ...

  • Re: Display name from DDL

Hi newbE, This is a great question and after looking at your form file, you are on the right track, but it is going to be a little more tricky than what you had thought. First, you need to move your drop-down options to a secondary data source, and populate both drop-downs from this list. However, on the second, filtered drop-down, you need to ...

  • Re: how to get all rows from Repeating table

Is the repeating table that you are binding to in the data connection in the form of a CAML request? I don't know how this would be possible otherwise. Are you saying that binding the updates parameter to just a regular repeating table node in your main DOM correctly adds items to a SharePoint list? Otherwise, I know you can add more than one ...

  • Allow Offline Use of a SharePoint List by Caching Locally

Populating drop-down lists and other components of an InfoPath form from data stored in a SharePoint list is a great technique that allows centralized storage of data and ease of maintenance. The only downside of storing data in a SharePoint list is that the user of an InfoPath form must have network access to the SharePoint site in order for the ...

  • Re: auto fill other fields

You're on the right track, try this instead: xdXDocument:GetDOM(''Sites - Hierarchical Data Source'')/Sites/Site/@value[../@displayName = current()] The problem with your statement is that the test that you specified tests to see if there is a node present that matches the query, and returns the first row for which this is true. Your query is ...

  • Re: Filter Pattern

This would also work: not( . mod 10 = 0 ) This uses the modulus operation to see if the value is a multiple of 10. This would also work for a number of arbitrary size and might perform better than the Match function.
