Yes I agree you are right and also you need to add(and)another condition in the data validation.
select your dropdown list from which you can select the attorney value. As condition select ''is blank''. You need to put 2 conditions

This doesnt work when there are formulas or Functions on the Text field even though the data type is Selected as String.

IP removes the zero padding for the data types “whole number (integer)” and “Decimal (double)” .To avoid this you need to select the data type for that particular field as “Text (String)”

Et si tu insère un bouton et que dans action tu sélectionne envoyer. Lance ton form ajoute un enregistrement et clique sur ce bouton.

Oui c'est assez bizzare car la première fois que j'ai lié ma bdd access ce message (propriétés des liaisons de données) est apparu alors que la 2ème fois rien du tout!!!
Mais bref je n'aie jamais fait de liaison directment avec une bdd alors la je suis un peux perdu...
Mais à voir je sais pas si c'est possible de faire de l'insert dans des bdd ...

I think this won't work. As far as I know the problems is that no matter if the field is visible or not it will always be set to mandatroy. So if he wants to submit the form and has not filled the invisible textbox which cannot be blank he'll receive a warning message.

I am quite sure that it is possible to do the same thing in JS but my JS skills are really limited. I'll try to find out how to do but hopefully some other guy also reads this thread, cos I know that there are many around who know how to do it.
