  • Re: InfoPath Error Executing a Stored Procedure

Hi Sam1996 (are you really 10 years old?) and welcome to our forum! Sounds like you are using a query adapter for your main data source. You might consider querying the sproc into a separate secondary data source and then mapping that into your main data source, but that's a ton of work. The main data source no doubt has a schema issue with the ...
  • Re: Block developing mode in published Form

Shiraz I have to tell you that for a newby in XML, XPath, Infopath a.s.o. the help isn´t really good, or better: kind of missing important things. For example practical advice or how-to-dos. Or the really important feature ''preceding-sibling''. I´ve searched a lot, no chance. (I´m searching in German and tried the englisch word an a hundreds of ...

  • Re: Query (InfoPath, Sharepoint)

Hi WeNeedHelp, Sounds like a filter issue. Are you using a SharePoint List Adapter? If you can only see one, it's probably an issue of adapter setup. The most common problem is that it limits the list to 100 since htat is default list size for form lib. I'm guessing this isn't your problem, but to change this go to Modify Settings and select the ...

  • Re: How editing a form without a DB connection?!?!

Thanks Patrick. I think as a first solution I will tell the users that they have first to store AND OPEN the relevant forms befor they cut the connection to the server. This works, I have tested it. Then I will read the help you told me and I´ll try it out. The Beta Version may be interesting, but I don´t think its possible to install another ...

  • Re: Problem creating valid XML in C# code(serializing)

Hi VictorV and welcome to our forum, You said: ''InfoPath however considers the XML invalid because fields are in random order in the XML''. This is a key statement. What order is expected? Are you using xsd:any? Why not use InfoPath's Import functionality for this scenario instead of code? It's more flexible with XSL and could be less maintenance ...

  • Re: How to open an infopath form in .net

Hi Asankaf, Are you saying it opens the form but the form is not minimized, or are you saying that the first form is not minimized but the rest are? If the latter, add some code to your InfoPath form to minimize. In general, InfoPath does not have good support for automation, so not sure what you are trying to do, but you can be sure that ...

  • Re: How editing a form without a DB connection?!?!

Hi Millie, Matt has a good HowTo on how to cache data in an offline InfoPath form. That's what you want for this scenario. Good luck! Books? Well, this is an advanced topic. I don't think any books handle it. InfoPath 2007 has caching support and may solve your problem. Check out the Beta2!
