  • Re: Copy Data from Secondary to Main Data Sources

I have a knack for finding the Rube Goldberg way of doing things sometimes, this may be one. I'm not familar with sharepoint, but I'm assuming it has a primary key field like that in access. If thats the case: Have a repeating section bound to a table in access or something. Make sure theres an extra field in the table, call it ...

  • A name was started with an invalid character

I'm rebuilding my original cancer tracking form, because, frankly, it sucked, and the orthopedic surgeon is gone this week, and its hard to work on it without him. anyways, done with my life story. I created a new database in access. There are several queries that help pull out specific records for a report. However, one query is giving me ...

  • Row cannot be located for updating

Goodday, I am getting this error on a submit button. I changed the length of a field on a Sql Server 2000 database. Now old forms cannot submit to the database. I am submitting to the database using a rule and the submit wizard. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Regards, Deborah

  • Re: thisXDocument.ImportDOM error

The newDoc schema must match exactly that of your form or you will end up with schema errors that will prevent the form from opening. Since you've said you applied an XSLT to the original DOM, that would indicate to me that you modified the DOM somehow--possibly changing node names, order or location. Any of these things will cause problems.

  • Re: How to get the View Name Dynamically?

Please explain what you mean by ''the view name of that list''. Are you referring to XDocument.View.Name?

  • Re: Change the caption of the InfoPath

Yes, the OnContextChange is fired after OnLoad... it occurs when the view has been drawn completely (keep in mind the View object doesn't even exist during OnLoad--it is created and rendered afterward). Once the view is drawn, the initial context is set, thus firing the very first OnContextChange event. Here's what I had to do to get the custom ...

  • Re: Get first letter of a field

Hey, You can use the substring function to parse the first letter....something like concat(substring(Firstname,1,1),LastName,''@mydomain.com'') The syntax may not be 100% correct. MB

  • thisXDocument.ImportDOM error

Hi, I am having some performance issues when using ReplaceChild to modify the DOM, and am trying to instead use this: IXMLDOMDocument newDoc = thisXDocument.CreateDOM(); newDoc.load(transformedXml.ToString()); thisXDocument.ImportDOM(newDoc); But when this runs, I get the following error: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException This form ...
