Can you just attach your form? You can do that under the Options tab in a reply... or maybe a screenshot that shows the issue?

Maybe so - this needs to go in the formula editor (so, click on the fx button) and the field needs to be selected with the field picker. See attached screenshot. In this sample, I wanted to set a default value for a field, so in the field's properties, I clicked on the fx button, which opened the formula editor. You can pick the concat ...

Thanks for attaching a sample - it makes it easy for me to help you. :) So - see attached. There is a rule on field 1 to set field 2. One thing to note - rules only run if the field the rule is on changes. So if the user changes field 2 to XYZ it is not going to change back to ABC. But if the user changes field 1 from 1 to 2, then back to 1 again, ...

Wonderful, glad you have it working!

Yuck. This is a tough one - we use our own InfoPath Forms Services replacement, FormsViewer, which allows us to change submit connection URLs, so we can dynamically set those based on where the file is opened. But without third party tools, I don't see a way to do this. You are right that you don't want 100 (or so) submit data connections, ...

I found an old blog post on this that may help you. The blog doesn't seem to still be online, but here's an Internet Archive Wayback Machine link: https://web.archive.org/web/20120323065413/http://www.makdeniz.com/find-the-day-of-week-by-infopath-rules-functions/

Hi - sorry I'm so slow to get back to you. I think I'd approach this differently - with a helper field and a repeating section. Here's a simple sample you can try to see if it works for you w/out hitting the calculation limit. Save the linked file locally. Right click, select Design, then preview and pick a date at the top. This uses ...

Oh yuck. I've seen odd errors like this sometimes resolved with a machine restart... have you tried that? Have there been any changes in your SharePoint environment? I don't know that it's even possible to check out the XSN that is directly published to a library - you might need to get your SharePoint Admins involved.

Hi - you can add a new field to the form that is not displayed on the form itself, then use a rule or a default value to set to the display name for the item. In the data source task pane, select the main data sourceRight click the folder where you want the new field and select the option to add a fieldGive it a nameI'd ...

Okay, rules don't seem to be executing on the Rich Text field when it is set to blank (which surprises me - if this will be a browser form you may want to verify you have the same behavior in the browser). So - you may just need to add another rule to specifically disable the submit button if the field is blank.
