As I said, the /filter should be the name of the SharePoint List column you wish to filter on. Using your example, I'd guess:
concat("FilterOwssvr /dsname=FilterOwssvr /filter=listempnumber /value=", .)
The action would be on the field in the form that is going to change (since it is the change of a field that fires a rule) - ...

Hi:
/filter is the list field - sounds like you are filtering on the employee number - if that is in your secondary data source in IP, it is everything after ows_
The /value was assuming the rule was being set on the field in the form that the filter should be run for - is that correct in your form? "." is the XPath shorthand to ...

What does the text in the secondary data source look like?
dClassDate, as a date, will store its data like this:
2011-10-31T10:18:32
What does the SharePoint data look like? You may need to use some string functions in the formula to make the two fields have the same format - if ShP is returning:
2011-10-31 12:00 am
for example, you'll ...

Drag your data source in InfoPath that is connected to your SharePoint list onto your form temporarily so you can see if you are getting any data.

I don't think I ever imagined asking this - but what about Access? Does everyone have that?

Since you used an InfoPath datatype of base64Binary (picture), your picture is being stored as base64Binary. I'm not sure how to insert an image in a header or a footer - it may involve saving the form as source files and manually modifying the view. Perhaps this blog post might help? I've not watched the video, so I don't know how ...

Hi - I replied to your other post with a sample on using a rule to get this information - there is no reason you should have to use code for it: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/20624/71436.aspx#71436
I'm not sure why your code is failing in the browser - any errors? You may want to add a try catch and populate another field with any error ...

I know that to update a person or group in a list using the UpdateListItems web method, I have to have the user's ID, a semi-colon, a pound sign, and then the alias:
12;#hstoupa
for example.
And if I don't know the ID, I can use -1 and ShP will look it up for me:
-1;#hstoupa
However - it doesn't seem like this would cause the ...

You should be able to do this with a count formula and a filter. I'm attaching a simple sample - save the file from the link, then right click and select design to open in design mode - from there you can preview.

So you are getting this result with insert field or group? That's odd. I'd expect you to get the first result.
You need to use insert field or group, then add a filter to the field you select (using the filter button). Select the name field from your secondary data source, then "is equal to" and finally, the main data source ...
