It is perhaps a newbie question. Sorry if it is.
I have a problem with my form. When the user just signs a section without making any other change and forgets to save the form, these will not saved.
Can somebody help me to solve this problem.

I have searched for ''exit'' and to my knowledge tried all kinds of variations to the theme. Like I said as far as I can see, my submit button code in closing the form overrules my exit codes. I am getting quite handy in making different kinds of forms, but the coding and Jscript part is just not my cup of ...

Sorry for the confusion what i mean is:
When i get the data from the webservice using the combo box bound to webservice is will set the dropdown to the approriate value.
However, if this value is changed and i want to capture it to post back to webservice i cannot get the combo box value.
hope that makes sense.

Hi Adam,
Adding a web reference as u do in a web application is not a good idea to access a web service in InfoPath.
Instead u create secondary data connections to ur web service and query it whenever needed.
The advantage of this method is that data fetched using secondary dataconnections are not saved with the form.They are lost as soon ...

When u hardcode values in the dropdown manually,u have the option to select the default value in the listbox properties dialog.Thats why u can find the value selected by default in ur dropdown.
So how do u set the default selected value for the dropdown when u bind the dropdown to a web service?

I have a dropdown list which have the values hardcoded.
When i submit to the webservice i can get the selected value of the dropdown:
this.thisXDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''//my:cmbRecommendation'').text;
However, when i bind the dropdown with the database values returned from the webservice the above becomes blank.
Any ideas?
