What is the rule on the button? What I'd like you do is drag your data connection that you are using in your qRules command - the one that uses owssvr.dll? onto the form, so you can see the data returned to that data source. Then on the button, just have a single rule that queries that data source - doesn't use qRules at all. What I'm ...

I'd actually be looking for messages about InfoPath Forms Services -

I don't see a difference between these either - I diffed them in WinMerge and only see differences in the time, etc. I've emailed Jim (another Qdabra team member) and asked him to take a look at this thread when he has a minute. You've admin approved (or sandboxed) the form, right? You must have, or qRules wouldn't be working for ...

For IP 2010, looks like you just need:
this.Print(true);
or
this.Print(false);
depending on if you want to show the print dialog - from MSDN.

Did you check the SharePoint logs for the error message?

No, we don't do anything like that in the demo - it is a full featured version that has an expiration date is all (it will stop working on that date and return a message to the Error node as to why).
What happens if your users enter the address you are using for the owssvr.dll data connection in their browser - do they get data back?

Oh, what an interesting idea - and are these SharePoint List forms you are talking about?
I honestly think you may be able to do this with a CAML query - since you're only talking about adding one entry. This InfoPath team blog post outlines the general technique.

I don't really have an answer to your direct question.
I do, however, have a suggestion.
Put two sections on your form - and have a helper field in your data source (not on your form) that is a true / false field, defaulted to false. Hide one section when the helper field is true, hide the other when it is false.
When you submit ...

I guess my concern is what you need to do with the data collected. If you don't really need to do much with it - sure, use Excel, create a workbook template. Access isn't too hard to use - you'd want to put together some data tables that resemble your current form data structure and then create a form for the data entry - at least then ...

The issue is with your condition on the rule - you can see it is checking your old data source in the rule condition. You should be able to just remove the condition:<xsf:rule caption="dependent1gender not blank" isEnabled="yes">
For example. Then you can re-add the conditions in the UI if needed. Does that make ...
