Hi Mcalicea and welcome to our forum!
Most of the time, people ask how they can set it up to have the DB automatically create the ID when an entry is added. It's probably better to have the DB do this especially if you have multiple writers since there will be some lag between submit and validation. You could have a situation where just after the ...

I cannot add OnLoad code as I don't design the templates (but know 2 fix fields which have to be filled automatically). Usernames would also not be helpfull as the people for who the forms are created do not fill them out.
It will (or at least should) work like that: A User logs in to the wss/formsserver and fills out several forms for several ...

Hey Linus,
first install the InfoPath toolkit for Visual Studio that you can use managed code for you InfoPath projects. Then put this into the OnLoad event of your form to get the currently logged on users name form AD.

Hope this helps you!

Hello kidthnkr1,
One question that I have for you is - Are your multiple drop down lists binded to secondary dom? If yes then you have to change the binding to main dom because data will not be saved to the secondary dom. Fields which are binded to main dom only that data will be saved in form.
Hope this helps!

Hi M_at_S and welcome to our forum!
Why not just have some OnLoad code that calls your database and prepopulates the data based on Active Directory username or something? You can check to see if the form is new when they open it and only call the prepopulation if it is first time creation.

Hi Dean,
Export your leaf nodes (or a table) from your schema to Excel using the File->Export functionality. Save the Excel file as CSV.
