I am using the an xml document as the data source for my MSLB. The xml document gets populated OnLoad in the code behind with the values from the list. My issue was I was binding the Name to the Value field to the Checkbox column in the list, when really both the Value and Display name fields should be pointed towards the ... Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 10-04-2012 Re: Multiple-Selection List Box checks all items even though I only selected one item You are right, I removed the xml, connected directly to the list and it worked. This method also worked (http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/8393/30289.aspx) but I was unable to determine which check boxes were checked in the xml after the form was submitted. My problem with having the MSLB pull from the SharePoint list directly is that this ... Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 10-04-2012 Re: Multiple-Selection List Box checks all items even though I only selected one item Thank you for your reply. The only thing the code in my original post does is populate the xml document before it gets connect to the MSLB. I do not know beforehand what values should be in the MSLB as they can change quite frequently. Before the form loads, the xml only has one display and one value element. The code behind adds more of these and ... Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 10-04-2012 Multiple-Selection List Box checks all items even though I only selected one item I have a Multiple-Selection List Box that uses an external data source to populate the check box items. This data source is an xml document that gets dynamically populated in the code behind in the On_Load method from a SharePoint list with the Title field and a Check box field. I have three items in this list and all three show up in the ... Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 10-04-2012 Re: Option Buttons bound to different fields Thank you! Yes that is what I was looking for. I ended up turning my radio buttons into a drop down list though to meet deadlines :) I also later discovered this can be done via code behind and xml changed events but with 20+ radio buttons that would take forever to write out. Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 07-31-2012 SPContext.Current vs this.ServerInfo.SharePointSiteCollectionUrl When should I use one and not the other? Lately, SPContext.Current has been returning null in the code behind of my InfoPath forms so I have been forced to use this.ServerInfo.SharePointSiteCollectionUrl to create my new SPSite object. What the disadvantages of using this.ServerInfo vs SPContext.Current? I know ServerInfo provides less ... Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 07-18-2012 Option Buttons bound to different fields I have about 18 radio buttons, each bound to their own field. They are all in the same section. However, a user is able to select more then one of these buttons. I want the user to only be able to select one of these buttons. I know this can be done if they are bound to the same element, but is there a way to do it if they are bound to separate ... Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 07-05-2012 Re: this.ServerInfo.SharePointSiteCollectionUrl.ToString() not working Woops, turns out I had the wrong version of Microsoft.Office.InfoPath referenced. I grabbed the path from an InfoPath form that was working correctly and everything worked again. Posted to General (Forum) by meyerdenney on 05-31-2012 this.ServerInfo.SharePointSiteCollectionUrl.ToString() not working For some reason, this.ServerInfo.SharePointSiteCollectionUrl.ToString() won't work in one of my InfoPath forms. It works just fine in the other ones and all the forms are pretty similar. I have combed my using statements, libraries referenced and code for anything that could cause this.ServerInfo.SharePointSiteCollectionUrl.ToString() to not ...
