  • Re: Infopath Column Exceeded

Hi, I've decided to go with a form library because there was just no other way around it. I'd like to ask if there is a way to remove a default template from my form library? This means that whenever I create a form library from SharePoint end, I don't get an option to choose a template. After creation, I get routed to a microsoft ...

Hilary, When you say promote, does this mean publish onto sharepoint? I'd like to understand what it means to promote a field. There are fields that are only needed to be visible in the infopath form and not needed in the list views if that is what promote means? Regards, Soraie

  • Infopath Column Exceeded

Hi, I'd like to ask if there is a way to bypass the SharePoint list column limit without modifying the application end. I have an infopath form with 400 fields. I know this is bad design but I'd like to keep all the fields together. I understand I can create multiple lists and pass data through with workflows but if possible ...

  • Re: Repeating Section in a SharePoint List

Hilary, I just wanted to reply to let you know that I was able to solve my problem! I was not setting my query fields properly. I went over and reread your posts and assigned my query username to the main data field username and it worked. Thank you so much for your knowledge and time!!!

I've done what was mentioned and also mimic'd the template that you just posted. Sadly this does not solve the problem. I've attached an image with the exact rules that was given in the template but it will still query the entire SharePoint List for all the computer types. So John will show all the computer types regardless of who the ...

  • Re: Repeating Section in a SharePoint List

In the new Item view, it is a blank form which is correct. In the Edit AND View item View, it is showing all the computer types regardless of username. This is most likely because on form load, I query the main data connection. It is not specific to the username that I view or edit the item from.

  • Re: Repeating Section in a SharePoint List

Hilary, I've attached screenshots with the details. As you can see from the list John does not have a value of 634, but it still shows up when I view an item. I'm assuming this is because when I query for data in the form load, it picks up all of this type of data and fills it in, i don't know how to make a condition where if the ...

  • Re: Repeating Section in a SharePoint List

Thank you! :) Sadly, another issue came up where if I view items, it does not query based on username it'll group all the computers together. For example, If I view a row where the username is John, it'll also populate all the other users computers but the username in the form load will be John. :( And I thought I solved ...

I'm not setting the query fields to anything specific. I know I want to query the data but would I create a rule under the Username or the computer type (query for data)?
