  • Re: Programically determining what views print

So far I can't put a button on a single view, add coding to "Print," and have it print out.  We are calling InfoPath from an application written in-house.  When we open the InfoPath forms up we evidently lose some functionality. Getting back to my original question...Is there any way to programmatically change what ...

  • Re: Programically determining what views print

Hi JustinF10000, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  If I knew how to write a rule that would not print a view depending on some condition I would definitely do this.  I don't think InfoPath has any such thing. Since I posted my question I found Hilary's response to a similar ...

  • Programically determining what views print

Our organization uses an InfoPath form that has additional views that the end user may or may not wish to see printed. Currently these views always print, and the user has to throw away the print outs from the supplemental views. We have been discussing the possibility of allowing the end-user the ability to choose what view actually prints ...

  • Re: multiple selection list box: Show labels

Hilary, thanks for the clarification! I finally understand how you created your formula. Hooray!

  • Re: multiple selection list box: Show labels

Hilary, I can copy your X-path and paste it into the new calculated field, and I don't get an error.  However, did you initially edit XPath for the calculated field?  Or did you click on buttons like I have been trying?  If you clicked on buttons, I would love to know how you got the formula in its entirety into the ...

  • Re: multiple selection list box: Show labels

Hilary, I appreciate your reply.  However, I still don't get how to put the formula in the calculated value field.  I created a copy of your project, so we are talking about the same XPath.  I create a second calculated value field and put it beneath the one you created.  I right-click to set the property.  I click ...

  • Re: multiple selection list box: Show labels

Thanks for the reply, Hilary!  What I haven't been able to figure out from your example is how to include this part of the formula: Display[Value=field1] When I enter the "formula" dialog box for the calculated field, I type: eval(eval  .  Now I wish to add: Display[Value=field1]  .  I click on ...

  • multiple selection list box: Show labels

I am trying to show the user the labels chosen in a multiple selection list box (MSLB).  The MSLB has numeric values associated with each label.  It would be difficult to change the values of the MSLB to strings at this stage of the project. I have found that this bit of code shows the values ...

  • Pasting in repeating tables, get 'you have chosen to bind a non-repeating control to a repeating field or group'

Hello, on an InfoPath form that I am working on, I wish to copy the controls and appearance from an existing form.  I have added the schema elements in advance to the destination form.  The source form has two repeating tables.  Let's focus on just one of them.  In the source schema, I have group1 and beneath it is ...

  • Header with data fields?

Hello, is there a way to include schema data in a header for the print view of an InfoPath form?  We'd like a block of this data to appear on every page, with only the values of a repeating table changing with subsequent pages.  When I go to "Page Design" and click on "Header & Footer" I don't see ...
