  • Re: Load xml from db on form load

Alas ... that picture was taken around 2006 or so. it was my last bottle, and it was even better than in 2001. Yes, I got it working. I created a web service method to retrieve the xml from the database, added a data connection in Infopath.  In FormEvents_Loading I do the following:Create an xpath navigator on main datasourcequery the ...

  • Re: Load xml from db on form load

Hi Patrick, That is a 6 oz bottle of a homebrewed Barleywine (a very strong pale ale) that I made in 1999. It won Best of Show at the national homebrew competition in 2001. I am really close to getting this to work. My web service method does return the xml with the processing instructions, and I'm thinking that I need to use ...

  • Load xml from db on form load

I have a large infopath form that is filled out and submitted. Upon submission the xml is saved into a database ntext field.  Later when the form is opened I want to load the xml from the db (it could have been modified by an external process). Any clues on how to do this?

  • Re: Execute query for each row in repeating table

Without knowing how many people have read this question I don't know whether or not this information is useful to others. Would it be possible to put a view count on the thread like the reply count? Anyway, I finally figured out how to execute a rule for each row in a repeating table and thought I'd post the answer in case ...

  • Execute query for each row in repeating table

I've got a people picker on my form that may have several people added to it. • Web based form messages

Does anyone know how to customize the standard messages when using Infopath 2010 web based forms in Sharepoint 2010?  When you load a form and it takes time to load it puts up a small rectangular box in the center with an animated circle of green dots and the text ' Loading Form...'. Also, when you click a button and it has to submit ...

  • Re: File uploader control

Hi Patrick, Thanks for the response. I'm working on a project that uses browser based infopath 2010 forms with dot net code behind to interact with SAP web services. As such the form data is submitted to SAP rather than saved in a form library, so there is no XML instance. One of the capabilities needed on the form is to allow the initator ...

  • Open Form in Modal Dialog

I have created an Infopath 2010 web form for use on a Sharepoint 2010 site. This form does not submit to a list or library, but submits data directly to SAP via web services. My sharepoint page was created in SharePoint Designer 2010, so I'm restricted to XSL and javascript. it has a dataview web part with a connection to web ...

  • How to execute a hyperlink in event handler code

I am building several 2010 infopath forms that are browser enabled. In one instance I need to be able to open a form from within another form and pass in a parameter. I've figured out how to build the url to the new form with the parameter value, and if I paste this url into a browser address bar it works fine. But now I need to figure out ...
