Re: Auto populate - only adds data from first row in database

    Hi,

I am using this method to populate information from a list of servers in an XML file. I have the rules set so that when I enter a server name it sets the OS field with the appropriate OS based on the Servername.

However whenever in the repeating table it gets to "Windows Server 2003", any entry after that row will have "Windows Server 2003" regardless of the actual OS in the XML file.

I'm really confused and been plaguing me for days now.

     Rules are set as follows:

    1. Run rule when this value changes
    2.  Query Data Connection
    3. Set "OS" with "platform" where (Secondary)Server_Hostname = (Main) ServerHost

It does the Windows 2000 servers OK until you get a server with W2K3, then the rest are. So its not the "getting first row only from the DB issue" that people have had previously.

Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

     Kind Regards,

    Stuart

    Resolved it.

When applying the filter in Infopath 2010, I needed to edit the XPATH statement to use "current()" instead of the fieldname for the row I was entering.

Off to find a cold pack for my sore head now, and put in a request for a new desk!

    Stuart
