Have Tried to do Install but this keeps popping up.

Sorry you are having issues.

 Can you post the complete error message?  It should be in your event viewer under Qdabra.

Also what are the details of the machine where you are installing it?

"The Installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.  This may indicate a problem with this package.  The error code is 2869."

I am using Vista Business; ; .Net 1.1 , .Net 2.0 ;  SQL 2005; Shrepoint Designer; Office and VSTA is active.

There should be additional information in the Qdabra eventlog.  It should have a more detailed explanation of the error.

Sorry...After I Clear the Error Screen, The Wizards says:

 "The installer was interrupted before QDabra Accelerator V 2.1 could be installed.  You need to restart the installer and try again. "

A Qdabra eventlog should have been created.  It is the first thing done after clicking Finish and should remain after a installation failure.  Please post the content of any errors shown in the eventlog.

Also, since you are running Vista, you will need to make sure to run the msi as an Administrator.  You will need to right-click setup.exe and select 'Run as administrator'

The above mentioned "Qdabra Event Log" may be accessed by clicking Start -> Run, typing 'eventvwr' and hitting enter.  Then you can select the Qdabra entry on the left side to display an error messages with detailed information.

I had same error and in Events there is:

"Error initializing DBXL database. The request failed with HTTP status 405: Method not allowed."

What is causing this? 

Can you provide details about your configuration?

1) Windows version

2) Local or remote SQL Server

3) Are you joined with a domain?  This is a requirement.

4) Is .NET configured under the IIS Web Service Extensions set to Allowed?

I have an issue.  Qdabra got as far as starting the test site but then displayed a most odd error message.

 Any ideas?

run aspnet_regiis.exe -i found in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\(Version)\.

Ok that worked, however, a new error has popped up upon installation:

    Error publishing Admin tool: An unhandled exception was thrown: Data Source=(LOCAL);Initial Catalog=QdabraDBXL;Integrated Security=True

I click ok to accept that and it seems to install ok.  From there I browse to the site - http://localhost/QdabraWebService/ and click on "DBXL Administration Tool - to manage your DBXL installation."

This fires up Infopath when lovingly informs me:

    Infopath cannot create a new, blank form.
    Infopath cannot open the form. To fis this problem, contact your system administrator.

    Form template: http://localhost/QdabraWebService/Forms/DAT/template.xsn
    The following form template for the form cannot be found: http://localhost/QdabraWebService/Forms/DAT/template.xsn

I can only assume that, that form was supposed to be installed with the Qdabra software.

Any thoughts?

Hi Adam,

The installer needs permissions to create two SQL databases. You can use SQL Server Management Studio to see whether the installer was succesful in creating these. Can you check? Perhaps there is a permissions issue.

Also, during the installation, does the TEST CONNECTION button indicate Success?
