    Any update on this?

Were you able to confirm whether other SharePoint web services work in your enviro with anonymous access enabled? Like the check out method I mentioned above?

The method you described didn't work whether anonymous access is enabled or not.

I think you are referring to your attempt to use the Submit connection to UpdateListItems - right? What about trying a different SharePoint web service method, like CheckOutFile - verify it works without anonymous access, and check and see if it still works when you change that setting.

Yeah, you're right.  So, to use the checkout method, I have to enter the code you linked to?

Create a receive data connection in a form that uses a web service, and use the lists web service (http://server/_vti_bin/lists.asmx) Then select the CheckOutFile method. For the parameters, set pageUrl to the URL of a SharePoint library item. Set checkoutToLocal to false and leave lastmodified blank. Make sure your query connection works in your test form in preview or client and then test as a browser form. Again, if the issue is the data connection, we'd anticipate that IPFS will give you an error when you try to execute the data connection.

OK, I guess it works.  I didn't receive an error, however I don't see any result.  The client initially gave me an error until I fixed the URL to the document.  I have the data connection set up to run on a button click.  I don't get any errors in the browser yet.  I will turn on anonymous access.

What do you mean that you don't see any result? If you check the library with the file that has the URL you used, is it checked out? Check it back in before each test.

    Hi Shniggens,

This forum is free. However, sometimes we can't respond immediately, and sometimes we can't resolve issues without more information, etc.

Just an FYI if you want faster turnaround or would like email/phone/live-meeting, we do provide paid support options from our website. If it turns out to be a qRules bug, we won't charge for the time.

    Thanks for your support!

No problem.  Using the technique Hilary suggested, I was able to check documents out both with anonymous access enabled and disabled.  I didn't see any related messages in the logs.

Have you guys tried this in your environment?  I don't know if it's a qRules bug or not, but SubmitToSharePoint list command is the only thing that I've seen break with anonymous access on.

     Hi-

Is this question still blocking you? I see that the original post was edited to say:

Edit - my original post is moot, since anonymous access breaks one of my other forms.

If you are asking if the anonymous access is still breaking my SubmitToSharePointList command, then yes, it still is.

Any other suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?  I've bumped up my diagnostic logging for IPFS in central admin.  But when I turn on anonymous access and verify the failure, no messages are kicked out to the event viewer (none regarding forms services, anyway).

Sorry, I was just confused because the original post was edited to say "anonymous access breaks one of my other forms", but then later you wrote: "SubmitToSharePoint list command is the only thing that I've seen break with anonymous access on".

I've added a task for us to test out our qRules commands with anonymous access turned on, but I don't have an estimate of when an result can be provided.

Yes, it's just the SubmitToSPList command that stops working.  I've verified that multiple forms suffer the same problem when anonymous access is activated.  Other commands, such as CopyTable, and SaveToSharePoint don't seem to be affected.
