I'll ask some questions to get a better understanding of the scenario.

1. Is DBXL installed on the SharePoint - 80 site (or on the site where the form library is located)?

2. Does the DBXL DocType use a SharePoint mapping? If not, is the scenario Side-By-Side? (or maybe something else)

3. Could you look up the correlation ID in the SharePoint logs?

4. Could you check whether the DocType has permissions defined in the Permissions tab? Also check whether permissions are defined for Reader and Writer groups in the web.config, It might be that regular users (non admins) are lacking DBXL permissions.

Hopefully these get us on the right track. Thanks in advance for the additional info.

Forms not submitting to SharePoint Form Library

After a re-organisation of SharePoint permissions we are now seeing some users experiencing problems with forms appearing or updating within the form library. Prior to the migration, each study had a separate sub site with it's own series of form libraries and the usual Owners/Members/Visitors group; post migration, the standard Owners/Members/Visitors groups have been removed and instead inherit permissions from higher level groups from the root of the site collection.

When users submit forms they receive the error -

The form cannot be submitted because of an error.
Click OK to resume filling out the form. You may want to check your form data for errors.
Hide error details
An error occurred while trying to connect to a Web service
Correlation ID:69d1a4e9-407c-4b22-af22-cd39cd104502

The data submit to DBXL and into the associated database, but the document does not update within the relevant form library.

This issue does not affect members of the team who are both members of the DBXL Admins and Data Collection Owners groups and reshredding the documents via the Migration Tool pushes the documents into the libraries within any issues.

Adding users to the Data Collection Owners group does not resolve the issue, so unsure where to look. All advice gratefully received ...
