Thanks for the information.

I believe the first module of our DBXL training includes a pre-requisite on adding a DBXL Administrator. Can you check this tutorial?

What is the user trying to connect to? I guess I'm confused as far as what action the user performed:

stanrios87:

one of our users is unable to connect using Windows Authentication in the configuration of DBXL

Is the user trying to open the DBXL Admin Tool? Calling QueryDB from a form?

Sorry for all the questions. Thanks in advance for the additional info.

DBXL Windows Authentication Issue with SQL Server Database

Hello,

I have followed the install guide to install DBXL (version 2.7.0) using a local account on the application server. The SQL Server is a remote server. The SQL databases (QdabraDBXL and QdabraUtility) were created during the install with the Windows Service account that called (DOMAIN\service account name). The install made this service account the 'dbo' of the databases. I then added the local account (DOMAIN\servername$) to the SQL Server databases with db_owner permissions since this is what appears to be running the DBXL service however one of our users is unable to connect using Windows Authentication in the configuration of DBXL. If the user uses SQL Server authentication with a SQL login that I created (and password) he is able to connect. I trying to find out how to get the Windows Server authentication piece working so the user does not have to provide a SQL login and password in clear text in the DBXL configuration. If you require more info, please let me know.

Thanks.
