Or you might need both. Can you describe what you're trying to accomplish? We can provide advice based on your scenario. If you're just trying out the software, the server version and the Getting Started document are a good start.

The eventvwr log tells me the following:

Error connecting to SQL Server: Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE'. encountered a critical error and needs attention.

Installation might have failed due to an issue in SQL permissions.

If you need to delete the leftover service run the following from a command line prompt:

SC DELETE “Qdabra DBXL Standalone Edition”

Installation Issue with Client Version

Hi,

I have installed the client version first which failed (event log attached). im not sure if that was wrong to do that first being that they were both on one box - then i installed the server standalone trial wich worked just fine. If i try and reinstall the client it says that the services are already installed and does not let me get any further on that failed installation. there is no file to uninstall or program to remove yet so im stuck. can you help me out of my jam?

thanks!

Michael
