Did you use the Test Connection button before clicking Finish?

Please look at the Application and Qdabra eventlogs for additional information on the error.

Hi,

I am trying to install the trial version of DBXL ..I am installing DBXL on the same server where Sharepoint is installed.SQL instance is on another machine.

I got this error when I gave the server name of the sql server.

A Network related or an instance specific error occured while establishing a connection to sql server. The server was not found or was not accesible.Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. Provider: sql Network interfaces,Error:26- error locating server/ Instance specified.

I did fix this problem and clicked on finish..then I am getting this error.

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.This may indicate a problem with this package.The error code is 2869.

Please advice.
