When using DBXL and SharePoint jointly, we recommend installing DBXL on the same site that hosts the
main SharePoint site (typically on port 80). If DBXL and SharePoint reside on separate machines you will need to select the Web Service option when creating a SharePoint mapping in DAT. You will also need to configure SSO or Kerberos correctly in order to allow DBXL and SharePoint to communicate. Finally, if you’re going to use IPFS, having it on a different port creates a “cross-domain” data adapter access which makes configuration more difficult.

Re: Setting Up Data Connection

I am getting an error code when attempting to save to SharePoint.

"S0002: Caught exception ensuring SharePoint form library http://portal/Test.
These are the steps you'll need to follow once you have designed your InfoPath form template:

1. Create a new document type.

2. Add SQL mapping.

3. Add SharePoint mapping.

4. Activate the form library to ensure forms open in the browser.

It sounds like you've already accomplished #2, which means you've also accomplished #1.

The details for Step #3 depend on your form and your environment(s). Are you using a form with code? Are SharePoint and DBXL on different machines? Maybe your form is simple and has no code.

For more documentation, check out our product documentation page.

Setting Up Data Connection

My goal is to use a browser enabled InfoPath form on SharePoint that will store data in a SQL Database.
