We currently have both the QDABRA Web service and its associated DB's on a single virtual Win 2008 SQL 2008 server. We are moving to new offices so in preparation we have setup two new virtual servers, both running Windows Server 2016 with one running SQL 2016. We successfully copied over (not reinstalled) the QDABRA WebService and DB's to the relevant servers, amended the QDABRA web services web.config file. My infopath form connects directly to ithe new DB successfully enough and i have it referencing the Active Directory service from the new QDABRA web service so thats working ok. The problem is with my QueryDB elements on the form that i cant get working, it can see the new webservice ok, but it seems to be trying to be using old credentials to access the QDABRA DB. Be aware that the the new servers have different names.

Another thing i have noticed, when i query the new migrated Qdabrawebservice directly and go to the link to download the DBXL Administration Tool,.. when i run it, it is still referring to the current live instance and not the migrated one. We have tried simply reinstalling the DBXL from scratch but the v2.4 msi doesnt like the Windows Server 2016.

We dont use the document storage elements of DBXL,.. we simply use the Active Directory service and the QueryDB.

Any insight into what else i need to amend or configure would be appreciated.

NB: Actually not sure if its DBXL v2.4 .. seems to be saying v3.0.2015 (see attachment).

DBXL 3.2 Installation Problem. As part of an upgrade project, a new domain was created and as machines were upgraded to Windows 7 they were added to this new domain. Unfortunately, our SharePoint and databases servers remained on the old domain and this now seems to be causing an issue for new users when submitting data. User accounts were also migrated onto the new domain along with AD groups.

Our forms contain both push and pull functions - reading the name of the form author from the active directory as well as permitting the usual form submission. Users who had an account on the old domain prior to migration are unaffected and are able to use the forms and submit data as normal. Users who joined since the migration and subsequently have an account on the new domain can open the forms and user the data connections to read in the name of the author, etc but are unable to submit forms with the system complaining about a lack of permissions.

Access to the web service is controlled by the same AD group and hence cannot understand why it allows the user to access the web service and draw data from the AD, but won't work the other way around and accept data from the form. I have considered that the only approach would be to migrate the whole server farm over to the new domain, but thought I'd ask if anyone knew of any workarounds in the interim.

SharePoint 2013 Feature Error

I have successfully installed DBXL and am running through the setup. Below are the steps I followed, but had an issue:

1) Created a new Document Type
2) I updated the XSN template to submit to DBXL instead of the SharePoint library and uploaded to DBXL through the DAT tool.
3) Mapped the new Document Type to the SharePoint Library
4) Next I copied the XML files from the SharePoint Library and then uploaded via the DBXL Migration Tool. That was successful.

But this creates duplicate files with the DBXL DocID number as the filename in the SharePoint Library. How do I force the uploads to use the original file name?

Sync old forms with new DBXL setup

Where can I find instructions on how to sync current forms in an InfoPath library with DBXL to enable querying with the QueryDocumentsNodeSet method?

Trial installation fails

I am trying to install the trial server version.
I decided to use the Expense Report sample form for testing purposes, so I opened the form in InfoPath Designer, and published it to an existing site on the SharePoint server. I looked at the Data Connections in the form, and the DBXL Submit connection points to http://qdabratest/QdabraWebService/DbxlDocumentServiceEx.asmx?WSDL (qdabratest is the IIS site I created), and the SharePoint Library Submit connection points to http://internaldev:20131/ExpenseReportEventREceiver (the SharePoint site and document library).

I wanted to see if the form was working correctly with SharePoint before I went down the path of configuring it to write to SQL, so I opened a new form from the forms library, entered some data, and hit Submit. I am receiving the following error:

The form cannot be submitted because this action would violate cross-domain restrictions.

If this form template is published to a SharePoint document library, cross-domain access for user form templates must be enabled under InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint Central Administration, and the data connection settings must be stored in a UDC file in a data connection library in the same site collection.

If this is an administrator-approved form template, the security level of the form must be set to full trust, or the data connection settings must be stored in a UDC file by using the Manage data connection files option under InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint Central Administration

An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server. Log ID:5758

I tried saving the connection file to a Data Connections Library on the same SharePoint site, but I still get the same error. I confirmed that cross-domain was enabled in the InfoPath Service Application in Central Admin.

Is there something else I need to configure before I am able to submit to a SharePoint library?
