1) Is the AD Service on the same server as the InfoPath form?

2) Is the form and AD Service using the same domain (e.g. http://mydomain.com/QdabraWebService/ADUserInfo.asmx and http://mydomain.com/sites/mysite/...)

3) It notes an event was written to the eventlog. What is the content of the eventlog message?

I approved this connection and still get the same error. Is there a chance for you to test it in your LAB (create a browser-enabled form with AD QDABRA web service) and let me know if it will work?

An MSDN article here may help you with this, if you haven't done it before.

Re: Error: An error occurred accessing a data source.

Hi,

1- If I remove the Qdabra AD data connection and remove the values from my fields where there is a connection to AD Web Service and republish, I can open the form with the browser. It works.

2- If I leave the Qdabra connection, remove the browser compatibility, republish, I can open the form with Infopath, it works.

Under Central Administration, Application Management, Infopath Forms Services and Configure InfoPath Forms Services, the checkbox has been selected for "Allow cross-domain data access for user form templates that use connection settings in a data connection file".

1. If you remove the Qdabra AD connection, republish the form to Sharepoint, and open in the browser, does it work?

2. If you (leave the Qdabra AD connection) remove the browser compatability, republish to Sharepoint and open in InfoPath, does the form work?

This will give us a better idea of what could be causing this, since the error is too vague. (Might also want to check event viewer to see if there are more details there).

Error: An error occurred accessing a data source.

Hi,

I created a browser enabled InfoPath form with using a data connection to QDABRA AD Web Service.

I published my form to the Sharepoint, when I try to open it, I get the error message below;

An error occurred accessing a data source.

An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server.

Log ID:6932

Any suggestion how to resolve this?

PS: Please be clear with your recommendations/instructions as I am not s Sharepoint Guru
