I have narrowed it down to Office 2007 users. Basically the XP (or office 2003) user can submit their form and the workflow kicks off just fine. When the office 2007 user tries to kick it off it is automatically set to complete. I am wondering if it has any thing to do with the use of InfoPath 2003, I wouldnt have thought it would make much of a difference as the 2007 user can use 2003 templates just fine.

I am going to test without the SUBMIT button (forcing the user to select save) to make sure there is nothing going wrong there. Then I will come back to you.

Cheers

Re: Workflow complete too early

Hi Chris,

I would look at the conditions in your workflow and make sure the logic is correct (i.e. you're using AND instead of OR, etc.). Other than that quick suggestion, I think we'd have to see the actual workflow and debug it but that takes time and will require a support ticket. Let me know if you'd like to go to the Qdabra Amusement Park and purchase a support ticket to our famous InfoPath Rollercoaster Ride... :)

Workflow complete too early

Hi,
I have designed a workflow with the below tools:
Infopath 2003
Sharepoint 2007
SharePoint designer 2007 - workflow set up with wizard.

Basically the user submits the form for 2 of 3 types of approval. ie, IF my project is customer facing then approvers 1 and 2 have to react. IF my project is internally facing then approvers 2 and 3 react. This works fine and the workflow comes to an end when the send approver selects their approval status.
Also I am using a submit function via a button control and a data connection.
However some times when the form is submitted the workflow automatically sets its self to completed. I appricate that I have not provided screen shots of the workflows set up in sharepoint but does any one have any ideas from what i have detailed above?

many thanks
