However it doesnt seem to have the facility to create these by default.

What do i actually need to install to be able to create these?

I looked at a couple of examples online but i dont seem to be able to see the workflow file in designer mode i only see the default code, nor do i see anything in the toolbox. the example said to add items from the namespace - Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowActions

i dont see this namespace listed.

i presume Sharepoint Workflows cannot be created in a standard version on Visual Studio and i need to add specific extensions...

also do i need to be working on the same machine that sharepoint is installed on? or is there a way i can work locally on my own PC?

any help appreciated...

id just like a detailed list of what i need to install/reference so i can create these workflows in Visual Studio.
