Display Task Form's Data in ListItem (Workflow Item)

Dear All,

I am developing a state machine work flow using InfoPath 2007 (to create forms) and VS 2008 (to create the work flow). In each Task Form users enter a bunch of data, like comments, and it is needed to display this gathered data in the list Item, which itself is a published InfoPath form. The only way that comes to my mind is to add fields to main data source of InfoPath form (ListItem) , then in TaskChanged event handler, read .ExtendedProperties values and assign them to related fields. This approach will be exhausting when task forms are big and have too many fields.

Is there a better way to display task form's data in work flow item's form? for example can I get task form's XML and display it in the other form?
