I haven't tried that, as I need the entire form signed. I can't easily create a variable/section outside of the main form, which right now is the top-level 'myFields' default. In the future, I will setup my hierarchy to handle this, but it doesn't help me on this form, as there is already several forms submitted to my library, and I don't want to 'wreck' them by shuffling around the order/hierarchy of my data source, unless it is ok to do this, as I haven't really tried it.

Any thoughts??

Cheers!

Re: InfoPath 2003 Digital Signature and WSS 3.0 Workflow

Do your 2nd idea and don't lock the whole form - just a specific section of the form that the checkbox does not reside within. Have you tried that?

InfoPath 2003 Digital Signature and WSS 3.0 Workflow

What is the best way to have a workflow wait until a form is signed before moving onto the next step?

I am not able to 'publish' the signature field as it is a group, so I can't test on that. I have tried to have the form change a value on a field (checkbox) if the form is signed, but I think the form being signed (entire form) prevents this checkbox from being set.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

If more information is needed, I will gladly describe our scenario a bit better.
