When the second user opens this they get the problem above. I don't understand your idea with the hidden field as the form is submitted manually at each point in the workflow. I don't want to use SharePoint designer as I want the workflow logic to be contained in the form and it should work anyway. Don't talk to me about Visual Studio 2005. It's causing me some headaches at the moment:
http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/7908.aspx
http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/7904.aspx
also I'd prefer not to have to use managed code.

I seem to have the same problem as stuck:
http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/7901.aspx
The data connector submits the form as an attachment via email using a valid address selected from a drop down list in the form but it only works for the initator.

Re: InfoPath cannot submit form (no error)

are you submitting to a form library in sharepoint or just email? if you are submitting to a form library, then in yoru data connection you have to select overwrite files if it already exists. It will not allow the form to submit if you do not have this selected and keeping the same form name.

I assume it is your workflow that isn't sending out the second email? If that is the case, then you need it to check or work from changes on the form. Maybe put on the form, a hidden box that you assign values to when you submit. For example, first person it would submit 1, your workflow would wait for that text box to equal one, then it would execute those actions. The second person would assign the value of 2 when click submit, your workflow would wait for that text box to equal one, then it would execute those action and end workflow.

You can do it with sharepoint designer easily. If you need robust... visual studio 2005. You have to develop those workflows on the machine that MOSS is installed on.

Re: InfoPath cannot submit form (no error)

I'm still stuck on this problem, do I need a secondry workflow and if so can I implement it without using SharePoint Designer? This is done in the same way as the first button, just with a different email address. Is this not how we're supposed to go about adding an action to a button? What do you mean by 'a bad submit'? There is no custom code as the forms need to be able to be maintained by non-programmers.

Re: InfoPath cannot submit form (no error)

The problem is with the second button.

Either a rule is being referenced or a bad submit or possibly some code.

I would audit that button.

InfoPath cannot submit form (no error)

I have a form which when submitted by the originiator is sent to a second user via email.
