The simplest way to keep this data is in a database with the employees second view not allowing submission of any changes in fact once the authoriser has finished you could make all the fields in the employees view read-only, which owuld work too.

Or you could link the form to a database to preserve the info and only allow submit to database where the form has not been authorised.

I hope this helps

Yes that would be great, I am the only person in the company really using Infopath and my skills are very basic. Do you want to email me out of the forum and I will give you my phone number?

Thanks

Re: Workflow to manage signatures?

hi,
Yes we can do this with signatures. When a signature is present another user cannot change the value, but the other user can remove the signature and change the values.

Other way of doing this is use some kind of workflow statuses and make fields readonly based on the status the form is in.

We have very good expertise in doing workflow, let me know if I can help you with that.

Workflow to manage signatures?

Hi, we currently do not have Sharepoint. I have a form that goes to an employye to rate themsleves etc, this then needs to go to the manager who will put in their scores, it then goes back to the employee who must acknowledge receipt of it. I would like a copy of the employees scores/form to be retained. Is there a way of doing this? Would digital signatures help for the last bit of acknowledging receipt of the form. Can a form be set so that when it is sent to someone they cannot amend it?

Thanx
