I want to pre-set some fields on the form to values in the associated SharePoint list. For example, on the form I have an Email Address field, and in the list I have an Email Address column, and I would like to pre-fill the Email Address form field with the current value from the associated record. I've been Googling around for a couple hours this morning trying to figure out how to do this. I've figured out how to create a data connection (in the InfoPath form) back to the list in SharePoint, and how to set the value of the Email Address field on the form from the Email value from the first record that appears in that data connection. I believe what I need to do is filter this data connection to return only the record that I'm interested in. Ideally I would query for only this record. I've noticed that the ID value for this record exists in the querystring of the URL. I believe that it might be possible to filter the data connection if I were able to recover this querystring value. But so far I've had no luck in figuring out how to do this. I've found a couple instructions that involve adding web parts somewhere, but I believe these may have to do with InfoPath forms used to update the list directly, and perhaps not InfoPath forms associated with workflows. Any chance you could point me in the right direction?
