Qdabra Software provides support and accelerators to convert InfoPath forms to ASPX. We have done this many times.

Pros: faster than InfoPath form services (for large forms)

Cons: development time and maintenance cost

DBXL Web service maps data to SQL and SQL can map data to Oracle using SSIS or DTS jobs

Pros: very inexpensive and reuses existing form

Cons: need to install a Web service

Thanks,

Patrick

Most easily duplicate the Infopath form in ASP.NET or JAVA (Pros and Cons of ASP.NET vs JAVA) so they can potentially use it with their Oracle or IBM database.

2. Is it possible, and would it make sense to keep using the Infopath form and somehow use a web service or other strategy so that the data is stored on an Oracle or IBM Database?

    A. Specifically I need to know the pros and cons of each and what is involved in getting this to work and are there any examples out there or white papers.

You can also email me directly at business1000@gmail.com

Thanks.
