2. May have been becuase there is one WSDL meant for viewing in a browser (because it comes with in-line documentation, example "lagan/schema/FLService.wsdl") and another 'proper' WSDL for using with integration clients (example "/lagan/services/FL?WSDL")

Not sure about the query fields comment - I would always follow the WSDL description. Very few fields in the Lagan methods tend to be mandatory.

Cheers

Steve

Thank you for the feedback...

This is now resolved and the problem was three-fold:

1. Lagan themselves realised I was using an 'older' version, so that was updated to the latest one on the server...

2. The WDSL had been published in TWO places; basically the one I was using had become corrupted/and had security configuration issues, EVEN though I could view the methods from the Data Connection I had set up. Once given the correct URL path I was able to bind to the methods.

3. Using the token based was also causing problems, so Lagan decided to switch to Basic Authentication credentials for my and all future purposes of their CRM web services.

The only thing that is baffling me, is the query fields in some methods (certainly date ones) are indicating that they should be mandatory when the WDSL (description) specifies that they are optional. Any ideas why that should be?

Cheers

Jason

Later versions have better native support for .NET clients.

Lagan's web services will typically expect either token based, or Basic Auth authentication credentials to be passed. Do you know which one your Lagan system expects?

InfoPath 2007 + Lagan CRM + web service

I was wondering if someone could help me...

I am trying to connect to a set of web services provided by a product called Lagan CRM...

Now, I can access the WDSL and see all the methods but I cannot return anything from resultset when I call one of it's method...

The call is made through code using this syntax: Me.DataSources(sDataSource).QueryConnection.Execute()

The error that follows is this:

The query cannot be run for the following DataObject

{"InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed.

The form's code contains an error.

The following call in the form's code failed: WebServiceAdapter.Query Operation aborted
"}

WHAT normally causes this error? Is it a trust thing on the form, as it is currently set at Domain Trust level...do I need to elevate it to Full Trust with a signed certificate from a Certificate Authority?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :-)
