I created a copy of the public diary on our SharePoint site (synchorised to the original) and inserted a hyperlink to it on the Infopath form. The hyperlink works fine in that it opens up the diary, but in monthly view. Ideally I want it to open in 1-day view based upon the date in date picker.

The web address for the 1-day view reads: ...calendar.aspx?CalendarDate=23%2F07%2F2009&CalendarPeriod=Day

Now I know you can create dynamic hyperlinks to change part of the link based upon information stored in other fields but can you add extra characters as well? So for 23/07/2009 it will change the link to 23%2F07%2F2009&

Re: Receive data - Office Outlook Diary

Think of it as a holiday request form. The employee fills out a form, selects a date from a Date Picker and sends the form to their manager for approval. It would be nice if their manager could click a button that would open our public diary on the selected date, to check who else is off on that date. However when I try to do a Data Connection to the diary (web enabled) it cannot connect as it is not asmx?WSDL.

Re: Receive data - Office Outlook Diary

You could have a rule on the button that checks the date and queries a Web Service if the date is correct.
