My form was working correctly for a very long time and just recently I've been having this issue. I tried re-publishing the form thinking that, that may work but of course it didn't and none of my forms are opening anymore. Nothing has been changed on the server (no upgrades or changes to permissions) and the data connection is working fine in the application but not in the browser and no changes have been made to any browser settings. Any thoughts on what I could check? I've run out of options.
Recently, i had received this error using InfoPath Form published in a MOSS NLB to access an external Web Service.

I configured MOSS to use Kerberos Delegation (using setspn.exe to register Service Principal Names, modifing the IIS MetaBase, an enabling Kerberos Delegation in Application Pool account and computer accounts at Active Directory), and finally works fine.

The problem was that this MOSS Farm scenario contains two Front Server in NLB, so Kerberos Delegation only was working when accesing MOSS using the real computer names (NetBIOS names), but configuring Kerberos Delegation properly, was possible Kerberos Delegation works using the DNS name configured in NLB.

I had detailed this trouble at:

Configurar MOSS 2007 para invocar un Web Service desde un Formulario InfoPath en NLB

Regards,

1. First make sure the user has sufficient permission to access the database/web service.
2. In infopath ->Tools ->Form Options ->Security and trust ->Uncheck “Automatically determine security level” (If database/webservice is on same domain then select domain else select proper option)
3. Convert your data connection in udcx file.
For this, create a data connection library in MOSS.
Now open infopath form -> tools->Data connections
Select data connection and click on “Convert… “ button.
Give data connection library url with file name.
4. Now open Data Connection Library and Right click on udcx file -> "Approve/Reject" -> Select Approve and click OK.
5. Goto Central Administration ->Application Management->configure infopath form services->
“Allow user form templates to use authentication information contained in data connection files” option must be checked.
If your database/web service is placed on another domain then you need to check next option “Allow cross-domain data access for user form templates that use connection settings in a data connection file”.

Error: An error occurred accessing a data source - Publishing in SharePoint

Hi,
