I am submitting forms with potentially large pictures to my ASP.NET Web Service running on Win2K. Do you set the property value in the WebMethod? If so, what is the syntax of the code?

Thanks,

Todd

Re: ASP.NET error: request might exceed MaxPostSize

Hi Clive,
Thanks for the educational posts. If my form contains 4M of attachments I hit the httpruntime maxrequestlength default limit of 4096k, I get my error message, as I should. If I increase the maxrequestlength to 8192, it works again. Seems to me my original difficulty might be an IIS running on XP issue. Here's hoping...

Clive
Re: ASP.NET error: request might exceed MaxPostSize

Patrick,

It comes and goes - yesterday it was all the time. I am at the early testing stage and this was on my localhost (XP pro). I don't think it is timeout issue though - my form get its web service response almost immediately.

Today I am testing on our intranet server (W2K server)without problems, before going to our ISP hosted server. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your response.
Clive Glover

Re: ASP.NET error: request might exceed MaxPostSize

Hi Clive,
I am not aware of this issue, but timeout issues are frequent with SharePoint.
