After configuring BCS correctly and some other stuff it all works fine and I can see the data populating the SQL database. What I cannot do however is add a Data source "SQL View table" to the form to import some non editable fields in the manner I have done for 6 other forms. The list is an External List type which contains the list to publish direct to SQL this is the list I wish to add the information to. I hope this is as clear as it sounds in my head. Any advice on what to try next or if this is even a valid approach? Thank you for reading.
