I converted my data connections to udc files and they are stored in a SP DCL. The UDC conncetion string reveils the database name, Un and PW. I have setup an alias for the db, but I cannot replace it in the UDC. IP returns an error when the form loads. In SQL server mngt I can connect to the alias which tells me it is working. Why does IP have issues with this? Is there another method of hiding the connection parameters from all users?
