Easy to do this using InfoPath, a Web Service and SQL. If you install Qdabra's free trial Web Service (DBXL) you could have a solution in <1 hour that pulls the data from SQL and submits it back to SQL. This is a very common design pattern. If you'd like help setting it up, let us know. Good luck!

Submit to sql 2008 - using a lookup table

I have a form that is completed by a user in InfoPath and one of the portions is to select a catagory of stores (retail) as they are in different sell slots due to demigraphic.

So, I need to know if its possible have a lookup table for similar to hold the translations for each option. These options are Country, Metro and All Stores. These are specific groups with multiple entries in each. However those in country are not in metro and all are obviously in All Stores.

Once this has been sorted I need to be able to submit the record(s) to SQL based on the other information in the form and create a seperate record for each store.

So for instance a record for baked beans has a unique ID, order no etc and we want only country stores involved, so we complete the form and check the store option required (as above) and then submit the record. I really need this information inserted as 1 record per store name in the data base. The primary key is the ID number so I can then query it later.

Any ideas most appreciated, the less code to write the better?

Thanks,

Carl
