I know that MOSS has several web services available, but I don't know which one to use or if any will work. I'm thinking that a totally different web service has to be coded--just don't know.

I have not been able to. I also have not found a walkthrough. I know you can do it through the Business Data Catalog but I don't control the server part of MOSS so it is difficult going for me.

I also have to be able to connect to an oracle DB through InfoPath 2007. I am running MOSS 2007. Do you know of a tutorial or walkthrough to see exactly how to setup webservices to get this information back and forth to the Oracle DB? I've been searching everywhere for the past week, but cannot find a thorough walk-through on accomplishing this task. Your help is greatly appreciated.

InfoPath does not support connection directly to anythng but Access and SQL as you have found.

However, it is really designed to use web services which are more agnostic. The newest versions of Oracle have web services integrated to their data and views.

There are also some other methods such as using code or setting up a SQL reporting server. With a SQL reporting server you can replicate data from Oracle and then build your forms off of this, as well as use SQL 2005's web reports or Excel to analyze.

If you would like to discuss specific options you can send me an email.

Data Connection to Oacle

Hello, I am trying to create a data connection to an Oracle Operational data store to retrieve data, not submit.
