Makes sense. Try this:

Assuming your schema is something like this:

RepeatingGroup
--Name
--Number
--Department
--Etc.

Drag and drop the RepeatingGroup node (from the database) onto the view as a repeating section. Double-click the repeating section on the view, go to Display tab, and then click Conditional Formatting. Add this formula:

CompanyName | is not equal to | CompanyNameDropDown -> Hide this control

After this is done you can place all the fields that you want to show and it will show/hide the entire section depending on the dropdown value.

Hope this helps!

filtering extensible section based on a dropdown

I am creating a form connected to a SQL Database.
I would like to filter rows according to the selected item in a drop-down list.
For example, by selecting the company name, i would like to see its address and contact name.

Right now i managed to retrieve the data for individual fields by applying a rule on the dropdown that modifies the field's values. But the database being quite large i would like to be able to do this in one move. I am thinking to use sections and have the dropdown modify all the fields of the section in one rule.
But i cannot find a way to filter the list of sections according to the dropdown. Can anyone show me how to do this?

Thx
