How are you submitting the data? If you are just clicking on “New Record” button then the data in the fields will refresh but that doesn#%92t submit data to DB. To submit data to DB you can use the Submit option present in File menu. Or Create a button that submits data to DB and to do this please follow the following steps:
1.	Insert a button, double click it
2.	Select Submit from Action drop down in General tab.
3.	Submitting Forms dialog box will be displayed, just click OK twice.
Now enter details and click on Submit.

Hope this helps!

Re: cannot get information into access

Hi Trufooser,
Did u click the submit button after u create a new record?
U need to create a new record, add the data to ur new row and finally click the submit button in the toolbar.

regards,
Abhishek.

cannot get information into access

hey, im new with both access and infopath, and you probably get questions like this all the time. i looked through the old articles, i just dont really know what im looking for.

background info: im building a database to track patients that we suspect may have a malignancy. once a week, a nurse brings up abnormal chest x-rays and ct-scans. she needs to enter the names and social sec #'s into a form. i then keep track of the patients charts and update their progress.

what i have so far: i have an access database with three forms. the first form is where the patients names, social security number, and the date when they started being tracked. the second form contains all the dates that i gather as i track them. and the third form is derived units for throughput time (ie i enter the date a CT scan was ordered, and the date the CT scan was performed, the difference between these two days goes in the third sheet).

i have made several InfoPath files "New from data connection", connecting them to the first form in my access database, created a form in InfoPath, i create a new record, but when i check the access database form that it is linked to, no change has been made.

any help would be appreciated
