But to close out, simply right click the image control and in the pop-up menu you will have the option to change the image control to a file attachment control. Make sure the field in the schema you are bound to is of base64Binary type. The file attachment control will not work with a string and I did a little playing around with InfoPath. Were you tryting to use a field that was of string type?

File Attachment control binding to a sql field

Hi,
How could to use a file attachment control binding to a sql data field?
i have a table with a blob data type field(ntext, text or image), but when i create my data source with infopath, my datafield of a blob field only can be image control and not file attachment.
How can convert this to use like a file attachment?

Thanx

Fred Darwin Villareal
