It has several Access examples. There may also be an Access example on the MSDN labs site. Go to Resources on our site and search for the link. I agree, Infopath is a flexible, easy product to use: Much easier to build and maintain than the Excel/VBA combination I have been using to date for reporting!

Could you point me in a direction where I might learn more about this particular challenge? I'm looking through a couple of books I've purchased and cannot locate my solution.

Thanks again.

-T

Re: Copying a record and submitting as a new record

Hi Tim and welcome to our forum!
Yes, you can do this with InfoPath and it should be fairly simple. InfoPath is one of the most exciting new products in Office and it will become more exciting in the next year.

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Copying a record and submitting as a new record

Hi.

I have an Access database that stores project information: For some entries, I would like to maintain a change history, preferably keeping an instance of all records. For example, I might add a new project risk that has a "low" rating, but a week later the risk goes to a "high" rating. Using Infopath, I would like to query for current risks, make changes to any current risk that appears, and resave the altered risk as a new record in the database. Is this possible using Infopath?

Thanks,

Tim
