Although, if the user needs to update this item information, it will not work because a SQL rule is that a View that is built from more than one table cannot be inserted, updated or deleted to.

2 - If you need to be able to update the item information, suggest you use a stored procedure or web service. The stored procedure or web service can work with multiple sets of data from different tables in a single transaction.

Display Lookup Value

I am trying to build a form that has order information at the top and a list of products associated with the order. I'm working against SQL server tables, order and order_items. I have the item description stored in a separate item master table called item. I want to lookup the item description for each item listed. When I add the item table to my data connection, the submit is disabled. It also does not let me add a textbox to a repeating section unless it is tied to a database field. Any help would be much appreciated!
------------------------------------------------------------------
Order Number:
Order Date:

Item Vendor:
Item Number:
Item Description: <-- This field is stored in a separate table.
Item Qty:
Item Price:
------------------------------------------------------------------
