You can do this for InfoPath forms but not list forms. InfoPath forms can be setup as content types in a site collection and you can specify to syndicate the site collection to other sites. It may require admin deploy if you have data connections in your form. We recently worked a qRules example that enables this cross site syndication using content types in a site collection.

The list forms are tightly coupled to the list. You can create SharePoint deployment package that will deploy a list to separate sites, but it won't fix up data connections, etc.

Please ping Hilary for more details.

How do I convert a list form to a centrally managed admin form ?

Hi Guys,

I have a SharePoint 2010 farm. I have created a List library, and have used InfoPath 2010 to customise the form, all is working well.

This library is now going to be replicated in several sites (same site collection). I really want to convert the existing form to one that can be centrally managed. I had hoped that I would be able to do a SharePoint publish and make it an Admin approved form for use centrally. However when I use Publish to SharePoint list that option is not available to me - It just seems to go through the quick publish.

Is there any way I can utilize this existing list or do I have to start from scratch ?

Thank you

Catharine
