Well, first of all, what's the scenario you hoping to accomplish. PDF forms are not InfoPath forms. You can publish your InfoPath form template as a content type and submit forms created with it to the same SP Doc Library and your XML files will coexist with your PDF files but they're format so the columns won't match. In fact, to get the fields in your form to promote to columns will require creating a form library. You could create a page that mashes up the content s of the old PDF doc lib with the new InfoPath form library. Lots of options but need to understand what you are trying to accomplish first.

Use new InfoPath form to populate existing, populated SP Document Library

Hi,

I am new to InfoPath, but I couldn't find this issue on the board, so here goes..

Just like the subject says, I am trying to start to implement an InfoPath form to feed my SP Document Library, but the caveat is that the library already exists with 1000+ PDFs.

Is there anyway I can preserve this doc library and implement the InfoPath form from this point on ?? I really hope so.

Thanks for the help !!
